As a Personnel specialist in the 3F0X1 career field, you will play a crucial role in supporting the human resources functions of the United States Air Force. Your responsibilities will include personnel administration, records management, career development, and customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to providing excellent support to Air Force personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Personnel Administration: Process personnel actions, including promotions, separations, reassignments, and retirements. Maintain accurate personnel records, including personnel data, performance evaluations, and training records. Coordinate with various agencies to ensure personnel actions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

2. Records Management: Manage personnel records and ensure compliance with recordkeeping regulations. Maintain confidentiality and security of personnel files. Retrieve and provide information from personnel records as required. Assist with managing and updating electronic personnel databases and systems.

3. Career Development: Provide guidance to Air Force personnel on career development opportunities, assignments, and education programs. Assist with the administration of professional development programs, including training and education reimbursements. Collaborate with supervisors and commanders to facilitate career progression and identify development needs.

4. Customer Service: Provide responsive and professional customer service to Air Force personnel. Respond to inquiries, provide guidance, and assist with resolving personnel-related issues. Serve as a point of contact for personnel matters and ensure timely and accurate communication with individuals and units.

5. Personnel Support Programs: Assist in the administration of personnel support programs, such as awards and recognition programs, leave management, and special duty assignments. Coordinate with other units and agencies to ensure personnel actions are properly documented and executed. Support unit readiness by ensuring personnel requirements are met.

Qualifications:

- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a secret security clearance.

- Successful completion of Basic Military Training and the Personnel Apprentice Course.

- Strong organizational and administrative skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

- Knowledge of personnel policies, regulations, and procedures.

- Familiarity with human resources information systems and databases.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively in a team environment.
