Appointment With Your Recruiter
Day of appointment with your recruiter
When your appointment day is here, make sure to have all of your documents your recruiter told you to bring and a list of any new questions that have come up for you. When you first arrive at the office, the recruiter will give you a clipboard and you will fill out a paper that asks all of the same qualifying questions that you had answered on the phone. This is for them to start your file, so make sure you are being honest with your information because this will stay with you. Your recruiter will have you take a practice ASVAB in the office. I DO NOT recommend studying for the practice ASVAB.
After you take the practice ASVAB your recruiter will get you scheduled to take the actual ASVAB. I have a video that explains the ASVAB and how to study for it.
Then they will get you set up with a MEPS date. I’ll explain these things more. The next thing you will do is go over a lot of forms such as; drug and alcohol, medical history. If you have any questions or concerns you can also ask them as well. Lastly, your recruiter will send you a background check that you have to fill out. This is a very in depth background check. Overall, my appointment took about 3 hours. The next step is taking the actual ASVAB.
