Aviation Resource Management (ARM) in the Air Force is a career field that is responsible for managing the resources required for flying operations. This includes managing the scheduling, training, and personnel requirements for flying operations, as well as ensuring that aircraft and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
A typical day for an ARM member may involve:
Scheduling and managing flying operations, including the assignment of aircraft and personnel
Coordinating and managing the training requirements for flying operations
Ensuring that aircraft and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use
Managing the budget and resources required for flying operations
Collaborating with other personnel to ensure that flying operations are conducted safely and efficiently
Participating in training, drills, and exercises to maintain and improve skills in aviation resource management
Providing guidance and training to other Air Force personnel on ARM best practices and procedures
Participating in classified and unclassified meetings with other ARM team members and other agencies
Participating in military operations, including aircraft maintenance, scheduling and operation
